John Madin - Architect & PlannerJohn Madin - Architect & Planner, 1924 - 2012

John Madin, the architect and owner of Aberdovey Hillside Park & Village, died in his sleep on 8th January 2012. Aberdyfi/Aberdovey has been close to John Madin’s heart and that of his family for over 50 years, and the close relationship will be continuing over the years to come. An obituary can be found on www.john-madin.info/obituary which outlines the significant contribution he made as an architect and planner in the aftermath of the Second World War in particular with regards to his home town of Birmingham. ‘He remained focused on “his hobby” architecture and what he would be doing next on his on-going project in Aberdovey (Aberdyfi), right up until 11.30pm on the 8th January 2012’.
