Reception Courtyard Facilities
The Reception Courtyard

The Reception on the West side of the Reception Courtyard
~ entered through the Reception Foyer - the Reception Foyer and associated lounge with wifi, is open 24 hours a day with displays of local tourist information (leaflets and notice board). The Reception Office, off the Foyer is open mornings Mondays to Fridays, drop in and have a chat, otherwise we can be contact by phone on 01654767522, there is always at least one of the AHV Team around Hillside Village, so please do not hesitate to say hello! ~

~ Huge Indoor Children's Games Room - new for 2022! includes an array of play equipment, it is focused on the under 8's, check out the photos in the above Gallery, it connects to the indoor soft play area - note the sofa for parents to relax on while keeping an eye on the young ones! ~
~ Indoor Soft Play Area – complete with slide and ball pit. Suitable for under 8’s ~
~ Interactive Play Area – Xbox with Xbox Kinect (subject to availability) ~
~ full sized table tennis table - which can be set up in the Reception Courtyard too! ~
PS! for those that have enjoyed playing air hockey while staying with us, it has a new space all to itself for 2022, it is in the process of being completed at the moment, details to be added shortly.
The Terrace Facilities
~ The large stone paved terrace laid out with tables and chairs; a wonderful place to relax and enjoy our ever-changing views, good place to meet up with other guests. ~
~ Terrace Lounge - comfortable seating with library of books DvDs etc ~
~ Pool Table Room - enjoy a game of pool with views out over the estuary! ~
~ Guests kitchenette, feel free to make yourself a drink and take it to sit out on the terrace or in the lounge or playing a game of Pool! ~
~ The Guest Launderette - is located off the Terrace Lounge, the washing machines and dryers are coin operated. ~
Air Hockey and Table Football Room
~ NEW FOR 2022 - The Air Hockey and Table Football Room is an additional indoor facility for Guests to use, moving the two tables from what is now the new Children's Indoor Games Room ~
Children's Outside Play Area
~ Play Equipment - swings, climbing frame and slide on chipped bark surface ~
~ Picnic Tables – adjacent to the Children’s outside play area, with estuary and sea views ~
~ Guest Car Park – We provide dedicated parking, so guests have their specific parking space(s) available to them during their stay. The guest parking area is tucked away so as not to infer with the views from the properties. This is a very popular facility for guests, it means that when they go off for the day they can return knowing with confidence they will have a parking place available to them when they return. ~
Aberdovey and around
You can walk to anywhere in Aberdovey from Hillside Village, and up into the hills above us using the Wales Coast Path, which we are on! There is another public footpath that takes you along a scenic route to Penhelig, from the Penhelig Railway Station you can enjoy the delightful scenery of the Cambrian Coast Railway to such places as Tywyn and connect to the Talyllyn Narrow Guage Railway; Harlech Castle; Portmerion and Porthmadog (which is on the Festiniog & Welsh Highland Railway and travel on by steam loco to Caernarfon, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Beddgelert amongst others).

Sailing, Sailboarding, Kitesurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddleboarding on the estuary,
enjoy the waves off the length of the beach, which is open to Cardigan Bay - surfing, body boarding, kitesurfing etc, watch out for the dolphins there too, as they follow fish in close to the shore.
Chartered Fishing Trips. Crabbing off the Jetty a must for kids during their stay.
Golf at Aberdovey Golf Club - PGA Lessons, Caddies, buggies and trolley hire
Aberdovey Lawn Bowls Club is open to visitors, it has in addition to a fine Lawn Bowling Green, Tennis Courts, Croquet and Putting course.
Take to your road or mountain bike and enjoy the variety of terrain. Bike hire is also available.
Fish the river Dovey (Dyfi) and enjoy some of the best sea trout and salmon fishing in the uk
Neuadd Dyfi - holds a variety of events throughout the year, including Art exhibitions, theatre and musical productions both local and those on tour, and every January the Aberdovey Panto (see a pic of one of the productions above!).

Aberdovey's Shops, Restaurants, Pubs etc
Just a short walk away are Aberdovey's stylish boutiques and other specialty shops, an art gallery where local artist exhibit; there is pharmacy and two small supermarkets one incorporating a Post Office; there’s an award-winning butcher (Welsh lamb is a speciality, of course!) and you can buy freshly-caught seafood from the harbour pier (Dai's Shed).
Aberdovey ice-cream parlours, cafes, restaurants, pubs and of course is a fish and chip shop, and other takeaways some of the restaurants offer a take away service too. Below are some of the "shopfronts" as an illustration of what Aberdovey has to offer!
