We are now taking bookings!

Thankfully, as the Welsh government has started to loosen restrictions for accommodation, we can now announce we will be opening on 29th April and are now taking bookings! For the time being, we will only be open for Welsh residents.

We ask for everyone to show consideration to the local community of Aberdovey and to the other guests at Hillside Village. Our relationship with the local community is incredibly important to us and we can only imagine that some residents are apprehensive about the possible impacts of visitors returning to the area.

Safe, self-contained holiday cottages

As our holiday cottages are self-contained, you can visit with your household/family without any worry, and despite many sectors remaining closed, there is something for everyone around Aberdovey. Enjoy a staycation with spectacular scenery and beautiful beaches, I’m sure just the change of scenery will be cherished by our guests.

The coastline here is stunning, and it’s not hard to get down to the shoreline. The mountains connect right to the sea, and you won’t be short of walking routes with great views in every direction. Off the main roads, the lanes are much quieter with a wealthy network of footpaths.

Eliminating Risk

To eliminate the risk of a guest passing Covid-19 on to a subsequent occupier of the holiday cottage where they were staying or our staff, the following procedures are being implemented within Hillside Village:

  •  On guest departure, the property will be fogged with disinfectant which takes 15 minutes and will be ready for cleaning in a further 15 minutes.
  • The cottages will then be cleaned and prepared for the following guests by staff using masks and disposable gloves.
  • Outside each cottage, there is a key safe with a combination lock and on departure, the guest will place the property’s key(s) in that key safe, the combination will then be changed by a member of staff.
  • The next guest arriving on site will be provided by text with the new combination for the key safe.

We are following the recommendations from the WHO (World Health Organisation) and the Government for industry-specific requirements, making sure the actions we take are covering everything that is necessary. The safety of our guests, as well as our team members, is of utmost importance to us. Our actions are only proving our commitment to keeping a healthy and happy environment for everyone; our guests, staff, and the residents of Aberdovey.
