self-catering holiday complex
Aberdovey Hillside Village has been the place to stay for our family of returning guests for more than forty years. We now have families staying with us, who came with their children forty years ago, and are now coming with their grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. Hillside Village is very much part of their DNA! Some of our guests have a particular holiday cottage, house or apartment that is the one for them.

We have a lot of guests who have party members that have restricted mobility, some who come a few times a year, the peace and quiet, the views through the picture windows or balcony or terrace of the ever-changing views and the friendly and supportive team are particularly things that they value.
Dogs are and have been very much part of life here at Aberdovey Hillside Village too! Tilly in the photo below senses about 20 miles away that she is almost here, check out our DOGS page for the reasons why they love staying with us.

What is Aberdovey Hillside Village?
Aberdovey Hillside Village is a self-catering holiday complex of a small group of cottages and apartments of two to four bedrooms and an extensive array of indoor and outdoor facilities. It is set in its own private grounds, it is a haven of peace and quiet, yet situated at the heart of Aberdovey a short walk to everything this picturesque seaside village has to offer. It is perch just over 30 metres above the water, its properties varying from between 60 and 100 metres from the waters edge. It faces south over the Dovey Estuary and Cardigan Bay beyond. It benefits from panoramic sea views, that are everchanging as the tide rises and falls. It has been receiving guests for over 40 years. It is run by a dedicated team who care profusely that their guests have as special experience at Aberdovey Hillside Village as can be. Where is Aberdovey Hillside Village?
Aberdovey Hillside Village is located at the heart of Aberdovey, the perfect position in Aberdovey, check out OUR LOCATION and OUT & ABOUT pages to see how close we are to everything in Aberdovey.  Aberdovey (Aberdyfi) is at the southern tip of the Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park on the West Wales coast, enjoying a southerly outlook over the Dovey (Dyfi) estuary and across Cardigan Bay towards Pembrokeshire; it is in Mid Wales, yet in Gwynedd which is in North Wales. Aberdovey is a great central location from which to explore the delights of the Cardigan Bay coast and the mountains of Snowdonia by road or rail, as well as the rural beauty of Mid Wales. Aberdovey is very accessible by road, there are alternative routes with similar travel times, that you can take to get to us. You do not need to get stuck in traffic where there is only one option open to you, as can be the experience when travelling to destinations in Devon and Cornwall or Pembrokeshire. Aberdovey is also very accessible by rail, the journey time to Shrewsbury for onward connections is around 1h 40mins. There are direct connections to Birmingham New Street (2.45 hrs) and International. London Euston travel time to Aberdovey is about 4hrs 40mins with just one change of trains. Aberdovey has two railway stations one and the east and the other at the west end of the village.

Does Aberdovey Hillside Village accept dogs?
Aberdovey Hillside Village very much welcomes dogs, dogs receive a personal welcome including receiving their own welcome packs. Most of our properties have enclosed gardens or outside spaces. Up to three dogs can stay depending on the property. Check out our DOGS page on our website for details.
Does Aberdovey Hillside Village have accessible properties for those with limited mobility?
Yes Aberdovey Hillside Village does have several properties that are limited mobility friendly and have mobility aids for guests to request when booking; also at least one of the Aberdovey Hillside Village Team is at hand 24/7 which is very reassuring for those with limited mobility. There is a limited mobility properties. Check it out for more information. We ask guests if they have a limited mobility requirement to call us before booking.
